On Thursday (October 23), the last working day of the week, trading at the country’s main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended with a rise in the index. Most companies and funds saw an increase in their share and unit prices, while the total transaction value in taka also went up.
According to DSE sources, the main index DSEX rose by 55.19 points, currently standing at 6,188 points.
In addition, the DS30 index gained 23.92 points to close at 1,998 points, and the DSES index increased by 10.75 points to 1,088 points.
On the day, the total turnover on the DSE stood at Tk 4.68 billion, compared to Tk 3.55 billion in the previous session.
A total of 393 companies and funds traded on the DSE. Among them, prices increased for 249 companies, declined for 80, and remained unchanged for 64.
