DSE extends trading hours by 10 minutes from Wednesday

B Mirror Report: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has decided to extend trading hours by 10 minutes from Wednesday, June 17, 2026, increasing the total trading session, including the post-closing period, from four hours to four hours and 10 minutes.

The DSE announced the decision on Tuesday. Under the revised schedule, regular trading will continue from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Currently, the main trading session runs from 10:00 am to 1:55 pm, followed by a five-minute post-closing session from 1:55 pm to 2:00 pm.

According to the new arrangement, both the regular trading period and the post-closing session have been extended. After the regular session ends at 2:00 pm, a 10-minute post-closing session will be held until 2:10 pm.

During the post-closing session, investors will not be allowed to place new price quotations. However, they will be able to buy or sell securities at the closing price.

The move is expected to provide investors with additional time for transactions and enhance market efficiency.
