DSE Ends Week With Index Gains but Lower Turnover

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, concluded trading on the final trading day of the week with a rising trend in the price index. 262 businesses that took part in the day’s trading saw a gain in share prices at the same time. The entire taka transaction value, however, decreased.

According to information from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE),
on Thursday (December 11), the DSE’s main index, DSEX, rose by 21.98 points, bringing the index to 4,963 points.

Additionally, the DSE’s other indices also saw gains:

  • DSES increased by 2.74 points to 1,034 points
  • DS-30 rose by 4.19 points to 1,903 points

Today, shares and units worth Tk 463.76 crore were traded on the DSE. In the previous trading session, the turnover was Tk 533.90 crore.

A total of 392 companies’ shares and units were traded on the DSE. Among the participating companies, 262 saw price increases, while 64 companies’ prices fell. The prices of 66 companies remained unchanged.
