The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) have temporarily suspended trading in the shares of Meghna PET Industries Ltd. and Usmania Glass Sheet Factory Ltd. following an unusual surge in their share prices and trading volumes.
According to DSE sources, the stocks experienced significant price and volume fluctuations without any disclosure of price-sensitive information (PSI) or announcements regarding business developments.
In a move to protect investors’ interests and maintain market transparency, the country’s two stock exchanges decided to suspend trading in the shares of the two companies on Thursday morning.
