Noakhali Correspondent: A discussion meeting was held at Chowmuhani, Noakhali, on the various changes, new provisions and their implementation brought to the income tax system through the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
Md. Mizanur Rahman, Tax Commissioner of Tax Region-Noakhali, was present as the chief guest at the meeting organized by the Chaumuhani Tax Bar Association on Sunday (September 6) afternoon.
Special guests included Kripasindhu Das, Joint Tax Commissioner of Tax Region-Noakhali , Advocate Abdur Rahim, former President of Noakhali District Bar Association, and ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, President of Noakhali Tax Bar Association. The program was moderated by Enamul Hasan-al-Noman, Excise Commissioner of Tax Region-Noakhali.
The meeting discussed in detail the various changes brought to the income tax system through the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, the implementation of new provisions, its impact on taxpayers, and the actions to be taken by taxpayers and tax professionals.
At the event, Tax Commissioner of Tax Region-Noakhali Md. Mizanur Rahman greeted the newly elected members of the Chaumuhani Tax Bar Association with flowers . Congratulating the newly elected members, he urged them to work with dedication, honesty and sincerity in fulfilling their professional duties.
The speakers said that changes are being made in laws and regulations from time to time to increase revenue collection, ensure tax compliance, and make the income tax system simpler, modern, and taxpayer-friendly. It is very important to properly inform taxpayers and tax professionals about these changes and to implement the new provisions correctly.
The meeting emphasized on increasing awareness among taxpayers, providing a clear understanding of the new provisions of the Income Tax Act and Budget, and increasing mutual cooperation between the tax administration and tax professionals.
The event was presided over by Shri Ratan Lal Saha, President of the Chaumuhani Tax Bar Association.
The meeting was attended by leaders of the Chaumuhani Tax Bar Association, newly elected members, lawyers, income tax professionals and other concerned persons.
