Discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil held at Krishi Bank on Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman’s 45th martyrdom anniversary
A discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil were held at the auditorium of Bangladesh Krishi Bank’s head office on June 10, 2026 on the occasion of 45th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, the announcer of the great independence, proponent of Bangladeshi nationalism and pioneer of multi-party democracy organized by Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union (CBA). The Chief Guest of the program was Md. Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee MP, the Honorable Minister for the Ministry of Water Resources and the Joint-Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). In his speech as the chief guest, he stated that Bangladesh Krishi Bank plays a vital role in agricultural economy. Prioritizing the government’s canal-digging program, he highlighted various aspects of the colorful life of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and made a fervent call to everyone regardless of political affiliations to work unitedly for building Bangladesh as a people-friendly, self-reliant and prosperous country.
During this time, the Special Guest Mr. Md. Shahidul Islam Babul MP, General Secretary of Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal, highlighted in a poetic manner, the various aspects of the green revolution, particularly the canal-digging program a product of the visionary thinking of Shaheed Zia’s three-and-a-half-year political life. Among others, Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, President of Jatiyatabadi Shromik Dal; Mohammed Nurul Amin, the respected Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors; Anwar Faruque, the respected Director of the Board of Directors; and Sanchia Binte Ali, the Managing Director of the bank, also spoke at the event. Mr. Foyez Uddin Ahmed, President of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union (CBA), Presided over the program while the General Secretary Md. Miraz Hossain conducted the event. The event was attended, among others, by Deputy Managing Directors Md. Abdur Rahim and Mohd. Khaleduzzaman, all General Managers, Deputy General Managers, Deputy General Manager of HRMD Md. Zahid Hossen, Convenor of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Officers’ Welfare Association (Deputy General Manager) Syed Liaquat Hussain, General Secretary of the Officers’ Welfare Association Md. Noor-E-Alam Shaon, along with officers and employees of different levels of the bank.
