Directors of Lovello to buy shares

B Mirror Desk : Muhsinina Tawfika Ekram and Muhsinina Sarika Ekram, the company’s directors, will purchase 200,000 shares in Tawfika Foods and Lavello Ice Cream PLC, a stock market-listed business. Sources from the Dhaka Stock Exchange disclosed this information.

The source claims that during the next 30 working days, Muhsinina Tawfika Ekram and Muhsinina Sarika Ekram will purchase these shares from the open market at the going rate. On Sunday, the closing market value of every Lavello share was Tk 81.50. Consequently, 200,000 shares have a market worth of Tk 1.63 crore. Its price will, however, likewise fluctuate in tandem with changes in the share price.

The company’s chairman, Dantin Shamima Nargis Haque, and managing director, Danto’ Engineer Md. Ekramul Haque, are the parents of Muhsinina Tawfika Ekram and Muhsinina Sarika Ekram. Regarding this, Danto’ Engineer Md. Ekramul Haque, the company’s managing director, stated that he will frequently oversee the business operations of the company upon his return to the nation following his studies in Canada. As representatives of the younger generation, these shares are being bought as part of the company’s strategy to advance the enterprise by using their education.

Ekram, Muhsinina Sarika and Ekram, Tawfiqa Lovelo Ice Cream PLC and Tawfiqa Foods each own 3.53 percent and 2.41 percent of the company’s total shares as directors. By acquiring further shares, their ownership will grow even more.

It is important to remember that Lovelo last distributed a 20% dividend to shareholders during the fiscal year 2023–2024. ten percent of which was bonus dividends and ten percent was cash.
