Dinesh Trivedi meets Modi

B.Mirror Desk: Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting on Tuesday (August 11) reportedly discussed Bangladesh-India bilateral relations, the recent diplomatic situation and ongoing issues between the two countries.

Diplomatic sources said that Dinesh Trivedi’s visit to Delhi after taking charge in Dhaka is being seen as part of efforts to rebuild relations between the two countries. The meeting was held amid an effort to increase high-level contacts, especially after some uncomfortable situations that have arisen between Dhaka and Delhi in recent times.

Earlier, after taking charge as the Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka, Dinesh Trivedi met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for the first time on Monday (August 10). The meeting focused on taking the relations between the two countries forward, increasing mutual trust and resolving unresolved issues through discussions.

Dinesh Trivedi left for Delhi on Monday afternoon after the meeting.
