The country’s largest information technology exhibition ‘Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026’ is going to start from January 28. This four-day exhibition is being jointly organized by the Information and Communication Technology Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital. Honorable Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest.
This information was given at a press conference organized at a hotel in the capital today, January 27 (Tuesday).

Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division Sheesh Haider Chowdhury, NDC said, a high-power committee is working in coordination with multiple departments and agencies to combat misinformation and harmful narratives. A team of 15 members is regularly monitoring. At the same time, our 21 engineers are engaged in this work 24 hours a day.
Stating that suspicious posts are being fact-checked, Sheesh Haider Chowdhury said, as soon as any suspicious post or content is identified on social media, it is analyzed and fact-checked. After verification, a report is immediately sent to the National Cyber Security Authority. From there, the matter is going to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.
Stating that the content is being taken down, he said, “According to the Cyber Safety Ordinance, the National Cyber Security Authority is the responsible agency. When BTRC reports social media platforms, they review the content according to their community standards. Many attempts are made to circumvent the rules through spelling or presentation techniques. Still, it has been possible to take down 29 percent of the reported content in the last one month.”
Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan said, the success of the Hi-Tech Park is now visible. Due to this, people in districts, upazilas and even remote areas are getting the benefits of technology. The best innovations of students from across the country will be showcased in this expo. The joint participation of international and domestic technology institutions will showcase Bangladesh’s technological advancement in the world.

This is a real reflection of Bangladesh’s investment capacity, policy readiness and future technology vision. Our main goal is to build a connected, investment-friendly and sustainable digital ecosystem.
Bangladesh Computer Samity President Mohammad Zahirul Islam said that special emphasis has been given to student innovation and domestic technology product manufacturing companies in this expo. There will be various seminars and knowledge-based events to enhance the skills of students. In addition, this expo will play an important role in raising public awareness, creating an investment-friendly environment in the ICT sector, youth participation, employment and entrepreneurship development. Various discussions will be held between domestic and foreign technology companies.
BCS Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam said that after the inaugural ceremony on the first day, the exhibition will be open until 8 pm. On other days, it will be open for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm. Although the exhibition is free to enter, registration will be required online (www.ddiexpo.com.bd) or through spot registration.
It was informed about the discounts and offers on various products at the fair, customers will get 40 percent discount on branded phones in addition to computers. Samsung’s three-fold smartphone may appear. Honor is bringing a device to detect deep fake videos. Xiaomi is offering up to 10 percent discount and gifts worth 10,000 taka. The expo will have Innovation Zone, Digital Device Zone, Mobile Zone, E-Sports Zone and B2B Zone. There will be an opportunity to purchase products of your choice in the Digital Device Zone and Mobile Zone.
During the exhibition, 5 seminars and 4 panel discussions will be held on various practical and commercial topics of information technology.
