Dhaka welcomes US-Iran peace deal hopes for regional stability

Bangladesh has welcomed the conclusion of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran, expressing optimism that the deal will contribute to restoring stability and promoting peace, security and development in the region.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Bangladesh has consistently advocated for de-escalation and the peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.

The ministry appreciated the efforts of all parties and facilitators involved in reaching the agreement, describing the development as a positive step toward easing tensions.

Dhaka also expressed hope that the agreement would be implemented in good faith and remain durable and sustainable.

The statement underscored that peace and stability in the Middle East are crucial not only for the region but also for global peace, security and economic development.

Bangladesh encouraged all stakeholders to build on the momentum generated by the agreement and address remaining issues through continued dialogue and diplomatic engagement.

The government further expressed hope for the early restoration of regional calm, stable supply chains and expanded cooperation across the Middle East, according to the foreign ministry.
