B Mirror Report: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has launched portable signal lights to improve traffic management across the capital.
According to DMP, the devices are cost-effective and entirely developed using local technology. These compact lights are easy to transport and can be used on any road, DMP’s Deputy Commissioner (Media) Talebur Rahman said on Tuesday evening, reports UNB.
At present, the highway police are deploying these portable signals to maintain road discipline and help reduce traffic congestion.
The initiative, part of DMP’s innovative traffic management efforts, is expected to contribute to smoother vehicular movement in Dhaka, Talebur Rahman added.
