Despite the decline in the index, transactions increased

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, saw a drop in the price index after the end of trading on the second working day of the week. 221 shares of the firms involved in the deal dropped that day.

The source claims that the DSE’s main index, or “DSEX,” dropped 16.50 points on Monday, March 17. At the moment, the index has 5,205 points.

Furthermore, the ‘DS-30’ index dropped 6.01 points to 1,888 points, while the other DSE index, ‘DSES,’ dropped 1.46 points to 1,161 points.

The DSE saw trading of shares and units valued at Tk 505.16 crore today. Tk 448.34 crore was exchanged on the previous business day.

Shares and units of 396 businesses were exchanged on the DSE today. Out of the companies involved in the transaction, 221 companies saw a fall in pricing, while 97 companies saw a rise. Furthermore, the values of 78 businesses’ shares and units did not change.
