DBBL Pragati Insurance sign agreement to expand bancassurance services

Dutch-Bangla Bank and Pragati Insurance PLC signed a Corporate Agent Agreement on November 2, 2026, at the Bank’s Head Office to introduce non-life insurance services under DBBL’s bancassurance operations.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Mr. Md. Ahteshamul Haque Khan, Managing Director & CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank, and Mr. S. M. Shah Alom, Managing Director & CEO of Pragati Insurance PLC. Senior officials from both organizations also attended the ceremony.

Under this partnership, customers will have access to various non-life insurance products, including Motor, Travel, Group Health and Crop Insurance.

Both organizations emphasized that the success of insurance lies not only in policy sales but also in ensuring prompt, transparent and fair claims settlement. Accordingly, they committed to establishing a simple, efficient and customer-friendly claims settlement mechanism.

This strategic partnership will enhance customers’ financial protection and further strengthen DBBL’s bancassurance operations.
