Richard D’Rosario, Managing Director of Global Securities Limited and President of the Dhaka Stockbrokers Association (DBA), has been elected unopposed as a Director of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
An election for a vacant seat on the DSE’s board of directors was scheduled to be held on December 19. However, by the deadline for submitting nomination papers on Sunday, only Richard D’Rosario had submitted nomination papers. As a result, the Election Commission declared him the unopposed winner.
Richard D’Rosario joined Global Securities Limited as Managing Director in 2006. Prior to that, he held important positions in various financial institutions.
As President of the DBA, he has been working on the development of the capital market. It is hoped that his joining the DSE’s board of directors will further contribute to the development of the capital market.
