Coordination Meeting to Enhance Daulatdia-Paturia River Transit

Nazrul Rajbari Correspondent: A coordination meeting took place in Rajbari to facilitate the smooth transit of vessels along the Daulatdia-Paturia river route during the holy Eid-ul-Azha. The district administration convened this meeting in the conference room of the Rajbari Deputy Commissioner’s office on Saturday morning.

During the meeting, Rajbari Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akhter presided, with contributions from Rajbari Additional Deputy Commissioner Uchen May, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Abu Rasel, BIWTC Manager Mohammad Salahuddin, Goalanda Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman, and Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rakibul Islam, among others.

At the meeting, Rajbari Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akhter stated that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth passage of the Eid Yatra on the Daulatdia-Paturia river route. For Eid-ul-Azha, 17 ferries and 33 launches will operate on this route.
Vehicles transporting sacrificial animals will be prioritized at the ghat. Additionally, a sufficient number of law enforcement personnel will be stationed at the ghat to prevent crimes such as theft and robbery. Furthermore, a mobile court led by an executive magistrate will be active at the ghat.
