Mrinal Kanti Roy, Tangail: Tangail District Police organized a coordination meeting on traffic measures taken to ensure law and order and reduce traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha 2025 at the Police Lines Multipurpose Shed. The meeting was presided over by Superintendent of Police Md Mizanur Rahman. At that time, the Superintendent of Police gave instructions to strengthen traffic measures to reduce traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway and regional roads. He also said that necessary measures will be taken to ensure that no unpleasant incidents like extortion, terrorist activities, robbery occur in the highway area to maintain law and order. Suggestions were taken from all those present at the meeting. The District Police will work on the roads and highways with everyone to make the journey of the people of their homes safe and comfortable on Eid. Adibul Islam, PPM, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) HM Mahbub Rezwan Siddiqui, Additional Superintendent of Police (Gopalpur Circle) Fauzia Habib Khan, along with senior officers of the district police, police members of all levels deployed on duty to resolve traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Tangail highway, representatives of the district bus and truck owners and workers’ associations, and also President of the Press Club Advocate Zafar Ahmed were present.
