Community Bank Credit Cards Surpass Tk. 150 Crore Milestone

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC is pleased to announce that its credit card portfolio has exceeded Tk. 150 crore in outstanding balances—marking a significant achievement in the Bank’s journey toward financial innovation and customer-centric solutions.

To commemorate this remarkable milestone, a celebratory event was held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka.

Mr. Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank, attended the event along with senior officials and expressed his sincere appreciation to all team members whose dedication made this accomplishment possible.

In his remarks, Mr. Saddat emphasized that this growth was achieved within just four years since the launch of the Bank’s Visa credit card, underscoring the strength of its market positioning and the trust of its customers. He reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to sustainable growth and innovation in the cards business.

Looking forward, Mr. Saddat announced that Community Bank is set to introduce a new range of cutting-edge and customer-oriented card products, including Visa Chip Debit Cards, Visa Signature, Virtual Cards, Co-Branded Cards, MasterCard, and facilities such as Airport Lounge Access—designed to meet the evolving needs and lifestyles of modern consumers.

The celebration was attended by several senior officials of the Bank, including Dr. Md. Ariful Islam, Head of Corporate Banking and Head of Business (Branch); Mr. Zahir Ahmed, Head of Cards; Mr. Mamun ur Rahman, Head of ADC and Head of MD’s Coordination Team; along with other departmental heads and executives.
