Ju-un is the first Bangladeshi and the first woman to hold this position within the Fortune 500 Company.

Coca-Cola, a prominent beverage company in the country, has introduced Ju-un Nahar Choudhury as the newly appointed managing director of Coca-Cola Bangladesh Limited.
In a press release issued on Monday, it was revealed that she is the first Bangladeshi and the first woman to hold this position within the Fortune 500 Company.
Ju-un commenced her career as a Management Trainee in Marketing at Unilever, leaving a significant impact in various roles with Unilever Bangladesh. Notably, she led the team that achieved a Guinness World Record for the nationwide ‘Lifebuoy Handwashing Campaign,’ involving 86,000 youth simultaneously across over 60 locations.
Her career took her to Indonesia in 2014, where she managed the Dettol business for Reckitt Benckiser. Subsequently, Ju-un served as the Head of Innovation at Danone Indonesia and later joined aCommerce, an end-to-end ecommerce enabler across seven ASEAN countries, as the FMCG Director. After eight years in Indonesia, she returned to Bangladesh in 2023 and joined Apex as the Marketing Director.
Expressing her thoughts on the appointment, Ju-un Nahar Choudhury, Managing Director of Coca-Cola Bangladesh, said, “I am delighted to join the Coca-Cola system and partner with our bottling partners, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages (CCBB) & Abdul Monem Limited (AML), and other stakeholders to refresh our consumers in Bangladesh. Ju-un, the first woman to assume this position in Bangladesh, will be taking over from the former Managing Director, Ta Duy Tung, appointed in 2021.

Coca-Cola, recognized for launching 100% recycled PET bottles in Bangladesh, continues to make strides with initiatives like Coke Studio Bangla (CSB), the country’s first digital music platform. With a YouTube channel boasting 2.86 million+ subscribers, CSB surpasses the combined subscriber count of some of Bangladesh’s biggest brands.
According to a Socio-Economic Impact study, The Coca-Cola system in Bangladesh contributes to the continuous economic growth of the country, supporting nearly 22,100 jobs, consisting of 833 direct jobs and 21,300 indirect jobs.
