The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, stated that officers who demonstrate honesty, ethics, professionalism, leadership qualities, and remain impartial to political ideologies are worthy of promotion.
He made this statement during the inauguration ceremony of the Army Chief Election Council 2025 on Sunday morning, July 20.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus emphasized that, in addition to their duty to safeguard the nation’s independence and sovereignty, the army plays a crucial role in maintaining internal peace, order, stability, and managing disasters. He expressed gratitude to all members of the force, including the army chief, for their sacrifices made for the nation’s needs.
Upon arriving at the venue, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman greeted the Chief Advisor. Following the ceremony, the Chief Advisor engaged in a photo session with army officers and left remarks in the visitor’s book.
