The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, saw a decline in its price index after the end of trading on the second working day of the week. Concurrently, there have been less transactions in the taka amount.

According to the source, on Monday (September 01), the main index of the DSE ‘DSEX’ fell by 10.60 points. Currently, the index is at 5,583 points.
In addition, the other index of the DSE ‘DSES’ fell by 2.67 points to 1,225 points and the ‘DS-30′ index is at 2,188 points by 4.96 points.
Today, shares and units worth Tk 1,181.3 crore were traded on the DSE. On the previous working day, Tk 1,296 crore 43 lakh were traded.
A total of 398 companies’ shares and units changed hands on the DSE today. Among the companies participating in the transaction, the prices of 119 companies increased, while the prices of 244 companies decreased. In addition, the prices of shares and units of 35 companies remained unchanged.
