B Mirror Desk: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus concluded his four-day official visit to China and departed from Beijing today (Saturday) to return home. According to BSS, an Air China commercial flight carrying the Chief Adviser and his team took off from Beijing Capital International Airport at 4:57 PM local time. Hong Lei, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chief Protocol Officer for President Xi Jinping, was present to bid farewell to the Chief Adviser at the airport.
During his visit, on March 27, Professor Yunus addressed the Boao Forum for Asia conference and participated in several related events in Hainan. The following day, he engaged in bilateral discussions with President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
Additionally, he took part in three roundtable discussions focused on various topics, including Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Investment, Bangladesh 2.0 Manufacturing and Market Opportunities, and Social Business, Youth Entrepreneurship, and the World of Three Zeros.
On March 29, Chief Adviser Professor Yunus was awarded an honorary doctorate from Peking University (PKU), where he also delivered a lecture.
