B Mirror Report : Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has rolled out a significant upgrade to all of its existing internet packages, boosting internet speeds by up to three times while keeping monthly tariffs unchanged. The move is aimed at improving overall digital connectivity and service quality for customers.
In a press release issued on Sunday, BTCL said users will now enjoy much higher internet speeds at the same cost, which is expected to enhance online education, office work, video streaming, gaming and access to various smart services.
According to the revised package structure, the Tk399 SULOV-5 package, previously offering 5 Mbps speed, has been upgraded to SHASHROYI-20 with 20 Mbps. The Tk500 SULOV-12 package has been enhanced to SHASHROYI-25 with 25 Mbps, while the Tk500 CAMPUS-15 package now provides 50 Mbps under the new CAMPUS-50 plan.
Similarly, the Tk800 SULOV-15 package has been upgraded to SHASHROYI-50 offering 50 Mbps. The Tk1,050 SULOV-20 package has been converted to SHASHROYI-100 with 100 Mbps, and the Tk1,150 SULOV-25 package now delivers 120 Mbps as SHASHROYI-120.
Higher-tier packages have also seen major improvements. The Tk1,300 SULOV-30 package now offers 130 Mbps under SHASHROYI-130, the Tk1,500 SULOV-40 package has been upgraded to SHASHROYI-150 with 150 Mbps, and the Tk1,700 SULOV-50 package now provides 170 Mbps as SHASHROYI-170.
BTCL said the initiative will ensure faster, more stable and higher-quality internet services, contributing to the acceleration of Bangladesh’s digital transformation.
The state-owned telecom operator reiterated that customer satisfaction and service quality remain its top priorities and said similar customer-friendly initiatives will continue in the future. BTCL also expressed gratitude to its subscribers for their continued trust and support.
