BSEC to meet asset managers to discuss mutual fund development

Special Correspondent: The regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) will hold a meeting with asset management companies listed in the capital market. BSEC has sent a letter to representatives of all asset management companies to discuss the development of mutual funds and the role of asset management companies in the current situation of the capital market.

BSEC Executive Director and Spokesperson Mohammad Rezaul Karim gave this information on Sunday (November 24).

A discussion meeting titled ‘Development of Mutual Fund Industry in Bangladesh’ will be held at the Securities Commission building in Agargaon in the capital on Monday (November 25) at 10:30 am. Chairman Khandaker Rashed Maksud, Commissioners Md. Mohsin Chowdhury, Md. Ali Akbar, Farzana Lalarukh and senior officials of the concerned departments will be present on behalf of BSEC.

Meanwhile, the managing directors or chief executive officers of the asset management companies listed on the capital market are expected to be present at the meeting.

In the letter sent to the asset management companies regarding the discussion meeting titled ‘Development of the Mutual Fund Industry in Bangladesh’, it has been mentioned that a discussion meeting on ‘Development of the Mutual Fund Industry in Bangladesh’ will be held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Securities Commission Building at 10:30 am on November 25. The meeting will be presided over by Commission Chairman Khandaker Rashed Maksud.
