BSEC Rejects K&Q’s 6% Bonus Share Declaration

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has not approved the bonus shares announced by K&Q, a company listed on the stock market, according to company sources.

After reviewing K&Q’s financial report for the 2024-25 fiscal year, the company’s board had declared a 6% bonus dividend for shareholders. However, BSEC did not approve its distribution.

The regulator cited insufficient retained earnings and several objections raised by the auditor in the audit report as reasons for withholding approval.
