BSEC approves bonus dividend of Gemini Sea Food

The regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has approved the bonus dividend declared by Gemini Sea Food Limited, a company in the food and ancillary sector listed on the capital market.

This information was revealed by DSE sources.

The company had declared 7.50 percent cash dividend and 7.50 percent bonus dividend for the financial year ended June 30, 2024. This decision regarding the dividend was taken at the meeting of the company’s board of directors held on November 13 last year.

According to the rules, after the shareholders approve the declared dividend at the annual general meeting, an application is made to BSEC seeking consent in this regard. BSEC recently approved the issue of bonus shares to the company.

The company has set a record date of January 7 to determine the eligibility for bonus shares. Only those who hold shares of the company on that date will be eligible to receive the announced bonus shares.
