BPC Revises Fuel Supply Policy for Divisional Cities

B Mirror Report: The Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has updated its fuel distribution policy for divisional cities to ensure a stable supply amid the ongoing global energy crisis, according to a press release signed by BPC Secretary Shahina Sultana.

Under the revised directive, the supply of octane and petrol to filling stations in divisional cities will be reduced by 15 percent compared to their average sales. Previously, the reduction had been set at 25 percent, but authorities adjusted the rate considering public demand and the need for adequate fuel availability.

The updated allocation will be implemented through BPC’s marketing companies, with depot superintendents, sales officers, and dealers instructed to ensure proper distribution according to the new limits.

Officials said the measure is designed to balance fuel availability nationwide while addressing challenges posed by the global energy situation.
