B Mirror Report: The Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has directed its distribution companies to increase the supply of diesel and petrol by 10 per cent and octane by 20 per cent from today.
The instruction has been issued to BPC’s four distribution companies Padma Oil PLC, Jamuna Oil Company Ltd, Meghna Petroleum Company Ltd and Standard Asiatic Oil Company Ltd asking them to enhance fuel supply at refuelling stations across the country.
According to an official letter, BPC General Manager Ferdousi Masum Himel issued the directive last night following instructions from the higher authorities of the corporation.
The letter instructed the managing directors of the concerned companies to take necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted fuel sales from today.
Officials said the decision aims to improve fuel availability at retail outlets and ensure smooth distribution of petroleum products nationwide.
