The Barishal divisional conference of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Officers’ Welfare Association 2026 was recently held at the Barishal District Shilpakala Academy.

BKB Jatiyatabadi Forum chief coordinator and chief adviser (Deputy General Manager) of the BKB Officers’ Welfare Association Md Zahid Hossain attended the conference as the chief guest.

A new leadership committee of the association’s Barishal divisional unit was elected through voting at the conference. Md Sanjay Kumar Datta, general manager of BKB’s Barishal divisional office, served as the chief election commissioner.

The newly formed committee will oversee the association’s organisational activities at the divisional level and work to protect the welfare and interests of bank officials.

The elected committee comprises Deputy General Manager and Barishal divisional audit officer Md Abu Mahmud as president, Deputy General Manager and chief regional manager of the Barishal region Md Abdul Kader as executive president, and senior chief officer of the Barishal divisional office Shoyeb Ahmed as general secretary.

The conference was presided over by Syed Liaquat Hossain, convener of the BKB Officers’ Welfare Association.

Special guests included K. M. Habib-un-Nabi, secretary of the BKB Board of Directors; Foyez Uddin Ahmed, president of the BKB Employees Union (CBA); and Md Miraj Hossain, general secretary of the organisation. Md Nur-e-Alam Shawon, member-secretary of the BKB Officers’ Welfare Association, and Taslima Akter Lima, president of the BKB Women’s Forum, were also present.
