Bangladesh General Insurance Company PLC. (BGIC)’s Inter-Departmental Football Tournament 2025 was held recently. Claims and Re-insurance emerged as the Champions and HR was the Runner-up in the tournament held at the Aftabnagar Kick Official Stadium in the capital. Four teams comprising different departments of BGIC participated in the football game. The day-long tournament ran from 10 am to 4 pm.

BGIC Additional Managing Director (Technical) Nazrul Islam was present as the inaugurator at the playground, and Syed Ghalib Mashuk Murshed, Head of HR and Administration Department, was the special guest. The tournament was commented by Syed Ghalib Masook Murshed, Head of HR and Administration Department, Mohammad Abdus Salam, Head of Public Relations Department, and Hassan Mahmud Riyad, Senior Vice-President of the Under-writing Department.

Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of BGIC, presented the trophies to the Champion Claims and Reinsurance and Runner-up HR department team captains at the company’s head office. During the award ceremony, he said that the image of BGIC will shine brighter through this game.

Additional Managing Directors Imran Rouf, Chowdhury Md. Abu Sayeed, Md. Nazrul Islam, Rashida Banu, Syed Ghalib Mashuk Murshed, Md. Manik Mia and Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary Saifuddin Ahmed were also present during the award ceremony.
