The Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (Beza) officially handed over 30 acres of land to Delta Life Sciences PLC at the National Special Economic Zone (NSEZ) in Chattogram.
The land transfer ceremony took place at the NSEZ, where Md Ahsan Ullah, Director General (Investment Development) of Beza, handed over the land to Md Zakir Hossain, Managing Director of Delta Life Sciences PLC, according to a press release.
The initial lease agreement between Beza and Delta Life Sciences was signed on September 17, 2025. The pharmaceutical company, a sister concern of Delta Pharma Limited, plans to establish state-of-the-art production facilities at the site, utilizing modern technology and innovative approaches to contribute to the country’s growing pharmaceutical sector.
The $30 million investment project is expected to create approximately 700 direct jobs and will focus on manufacturing specialized pharmaceutical products to meet both domestic and global demand.
Beza’s Executive Chairman, Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, congratulated Delta Life Sciences on the milestone and highlighted the unique opportunities created by the National Special Economic Zone. He emphasized that this investment will not only diversify the country’s pharmaceutical products but also play a significant role in creating jobs, boosting exports, and strengthening the national healthcare sector.
