B Mirror Report: Bangladesh will no longer accept any further conditions from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and has cancelled its loan agreement with the lender, Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said on Sunday.
He made the remarks while speaking at the inauguration of World Investor Week at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh auditorium (KIBC) in Dhaka.

The finance minister also claimed that Bangladesh would be able to expand its economy to $3 trillion by 2034 without assistance from donor agencies.
He said the government was prioritising its own plans and initiatives to strengthen the country’s economic capacity and reduce dependence on loans and conditions imposed by the IMF and other development partners.
According to Khasru, the government aims to build a stronger and more self-reliant economy by reducing dependence on external financial assistance.
