B Mirror Desk : The Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) hosted a training program named “AI for Human Resource Management” today at 10:00 a.m. in the BCI Boardroom. Mr. Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), BCI President, was the workshop’s chief guest, while Mr. Md. Imdadul Islam, Senior Manager (Business Development), Netcom Learning Bangladesh, and Mr. Hasan Md. Zubayer, Learning Consultant, Netcom Learning Bangladesh, served as discussants/trainers. The session was attended by 25 representatives from various industry organizations, including BCI members. The session also included BCI Directors Mr. Jahangir Alam and Mr. Md. Mafuzur Rahman.
The inaugural event was conducted by BCI Secretary General Dr. Md. Helal Uddin, NDC. He stated that Bangladesh ranks 113th out of 174 countries in the IMF’s 2024 Artificial Intelligence Index. Recent research of Bangladeshi teenagers found that 84% of them lack the necessary abilities to run Artificial Intelligence equipment. It is time to respond by properly evaluating our AI’s potential and challenges, since AI technology will become increasingly important in the present and near future.
At the inaugural ceremony, the chief guest, Mr. Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), stated that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a critical issue for the country’s industrial sector in the current environment. The youth society is a source of power for our nation. There is no alternative to growing our technological expertise to preserve and increase our existing employment because the future world will depend on AI technology, which will be more advanced. We have already reached the fourth industrial revolution, and there is no option to building skills using AI technology. We, at BCI, are working on skill development in response to the needs of the country’s industry, albeit on a small scale, out of a sense of duty. I believe that this form of training will build a level of connectivity that will be beneficial to us in the future. The President of the BCI announced that similar workshops would be held on a regular basis. He encouraged everyone to take an active role in the workshops.
In the second part of the day-long workshop, Mr. Md. Imdadul Islam and Mr. Hasan Md. Zubayer, presenters on “AI for Human Resource Management,” led two sessions and fielded questions from the attendees. Mrs. Preeti Chakraborty, BCI’s Senior Vice President, collected feedback from participants in the afternoon of the program and issued diplomas.
