Listed company British American Tobacco Company Bangladesh Limited (BATBC) and another multinational tobacco company Philip Morris (PMBL) will produce cigarettes in Bangladesh. An agreement has been signed between the two companies in this regard.

The deal was approved by the BATBC Board of Directors meeting held on Tuesday (November 12).

According to the agreement, British American Tobacco Company Bangladesh Limited’s factories will manufacture and supply different brands of cigarettes for Philip Morris as directed by them. However, it is not known which brands of Philip Morris cigarettes will be produced under the deal and how much revenue BATBC will get.

Note that BAT’s main cigarette brands include Goldleaf and Benson. On the other hand, the main brands of Philip Morris are Marlboro and Bond.
