Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has celebrated the Great Independence and National Day-2026 (26 March) with due dignity and various programs. The day’s programs include hoisting the national flag at the time of sunrise, awarding the guard of honor and special prayers and illumination.

BARI Director General Dr. Muhammad Ataur Rahman inaugurated the day’s programs by hoisting the national flag fronts of BARI headquarter. At this time, Director (Oilseed Research Center) Dr. Md. Manjurul Kadir; Director (Training and Communication) Dr. Reshma Sultana; Director (Horticulture Research Center) Dr. Faruque Ahmed, heads of the various division, scientists, officers, employees and workers of all levels of the institute, teacher and students of BARI High School and Anand Shishukanan were present on the occasion. Special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the departed souls of the martyred freedom fighters and for the well-being of the war-wounded freedom fighters and for the peace, prosperity and progress of the nation.

Later, special munajat are offered after the Zuhr in the Central Mosque of BARI for the peace, progress, and for peace of the souls of martyrs in the war of liberation of the nation and special prayers are offered in the Temple and Church.
