Bangladesh University (BU) and United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding at BU’s permanent campus in Adabare in the capital to ease financial services.
Under the agreement, students of Bangladesh University will be able to deposit tuition fee money in any branch or sub-branch of UCB by entering their own ID and printing the semester fee payment slip. The tuition fee information submitted will be updated on their ID immediately. Besides, in the future, students studying at BU will be able to pay their tuition fees online.
Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Transaction (Banking Division) Sekander-e-Azam signed the agreement on behalf of UCB, and Director (Finance and Accounts) SM Feroz Ahmed signed the agreement on behalf of Bangladesh University.
Acting Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University Jahangir Alam, Treasurer Sajedul Islam, Registrar Mahbubul Haque, and Additional Managing Director of UCB PLC Nabil Rahman, Fast Vice President Farhana Akhtar, Vice President (Transaction Banking) Riyad Hashim, and Relationship Manager (Transaction Banking) Abdun Noor were present in the MoU signing ceremony.
