B Mirror Report: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman on Friday during the second day of his official visit to Bangladesh.
The meeting began at 10:30 a.m. at the InterContinental Hotel in Dhaka. Bangladesh’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam and Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam were also present.
According to diplomatic sources, although no formal agenda was announced, the discussions are expected to focus on expanding trade and investment, strengthening defense cooperation, enhancing security dialogue, and increasing collaboration on various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
During his stay in Bangladesh, Foreign Minister Fidan is also expected to visit the Rohingya refugee camps to observe the ongoing humanitarian situation.
This visit marks the first trip by a Turkish foreign minister to Bangladesh since December 2020, highlighting the growing importance of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Both sides are expected to explore new avenues for cooperation aimed at deepening economic ties and promoting strategic partnership in the years ahead.
