Bangladesh to Produce Hydroponics Tents with $30.47M BEPZA Investment

Bangladesh is set to become a manufacturer of Greenhouse Hydroponics Tents as Green Pure Houseware (BD) Co., Ltd. signed a land lease agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) to establish a manufacturing facility at the BEPZA Economic Zone.

The company will invest US$ 30.47 million to produce hydroponics tents portable enclosed structures for soilless plant cultivation along with EVA cabinet mats, cartons, and PE packaging films. These high-value, non-traditional products align with BEPZA’s strategy to diversify exports and target specialized global markets.

The manufactured goods will be exported to major international destinations including the USA, Europe, UK, Canada, and Japan, while the project is expected to create employment for around 3,000 Bangladeshi nationals, according to a press release.

The agreement was signed at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka, with BEPZA Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain and Green Pure Houseware Managing Director Wang Shenyu signing on behalf of their organizations. The ceremony was witnessed by BEPZA Executive Chairman Maj Gen Mohammad Moazzem Hossain.

Welcoming the investor, the Executive Chairman assured full support and a business-friendly environment to ensure the project’s successful implementation and operation.

The event was also attended by Abdullah Al Mamun (Member, Engineering), A N M Foyzul Haque (Member, Finance), A.S.M. Anwar Parvez (Executive Director, Public Relations), senior BEPZA officials, and company representatives.
