B Mirror Report : The Religious Affairs Ministry has announced that Hajj flights from Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia will begin on April 18, 2026.
The ministry instructed all Hajj agencies and airlines to strictly follow the Saudi government directives and the Hajj Package and Guidelines 2026. Letters detailing the instructions were sent to Hajj agency owners and the three airlines responsible for transporting pilgrims.
According to the ministry, the flights will carry pilgrims for Hajj 1447 Hijri, which is expected to start on May 26 this year. The Saudi government has mandated that pilgrims under the same service company must travel on the same flight.
Under the Hajj Package and Guidelines 2026, agencies are required to send at least 20 percent of their total pilgrims during the middle phase of pre-Hajj flights. The remaining pilgrims must be transported in the first and last phases, with 30 to 50 percent allocated to each phase. No agency is allowed to issue less than 30 percent or more than 50 percent of tickets during either the first or last phase.
The ministry urged agencies and airlines to take necessary steps to ensure that pilgrims of the same service company are on the same flight and that ticket issuance complies with the prescribed phase-wise distribution.
