The central bank has purchased an additional 38 million or 38 million US dollars from six banks via an auction.
On Tuesday (October 14), this information was provided by Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director and Spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank.
He stated that Bangladesh Bank has purchased 38 million US dollars from a total of six banks. The dollars were acquired using the multi-value auction approach.
The dollar’s exchange rate in this auction was 121 taka and 80 paisa.
Previously, the central bank has purchased dollars via multiple auctions in the ongoing 2025-26 fiscal year. To date, a total of 2126 million, or 2.12 billion dollars, has been acquired
