Bail denied to 10 A-League activists in Rajbari anti-discrimination student movement attack case

Md. Nazrul Islam, Rajbari District Correspondent:The court has ordered to send 10 Awami League leaders and workers to prison without granting bail in the case of attack on students during the anti-discrimination student movement in Rajbari.
Former Zilla Parishad members, UP Chairman, Jubo League, Chhatra League and Awami League leaders and activists were personally present in the case.
Judge Judicial Magistrate Md. Tamjid Ahmed of Sadar Upazila of Rajbari gave this order at twelve o’clock on Wednesday.
Advocate Shafiqul Islam, the accused side of the case, said that on August 30 of last year, the student Rajib Mollabadi filed a case against 170 people including former member of parliament of Rajbari-1 Kazi Keramat Ali, and 300 others who are unknown. The ten accused in this case were on bail by the High Court.
Rajbari Judge Court Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Abdur Razzak (2) said that these 10 defendants were on bail from the High Court in the case of assault on students in the anti-discrimination student movement. When they appeared in the lower court and asked for bail on Sunday, the judge did not grant bail and ordered to send them to jail.
