Mr. Asit Kumar Saha and Mr. Jhahedul Alam have been elected as Directors of Standard Bank PLC. pursuant to the decision of the 403rd Board Meeting of the Bank held on December 15, 2024 and with the approval of Bangladesh Bank dated February 3, 2025.
A distinguished entrepreneur Mr. Ashit is the Managing Director of NGS Cement Industries Ltd., A.K. Saha Steel Industries (PVT.) Ltd., Uttam Oil Mills Ltd. and N.G. Saha Steel Industries (PVT.) Ltd. Besides these he is the Director of Saha Steel Products (PVT.) Ltd. and New Bengal Trading Co. Ltd. Mr. Ashit completed his B.Com (Honors) from Government College of Commerce, Chattogram.
Mr. Jhahedul Alam is an experienced business professional having a B.Sc. (Honors) in Economics from Queen Mary University, London. Mr. Jhahedul is the Managing Partner of M/S Super Electronics, M/S Radiovision, J.P Sons and White Rabbit, Managing Director of Hay Agro Pvt. Ltd. and Deputy Managing Director of Shufola Multi Products Ltd. He is a Director of Mizuki Household Products Ltd. and PAM Complex Pvt. Ltd.
