Application of 15 companies to withdraw 500 crore taka from share market

15 companies from various sectors want to raise money from the stock market through the initial public offering (IPO) process. Among them are 2 small cap platform companies. The companies want to collect about 500 crore taka from the stock market through IPO. For this reason, the companies have already submitted an application to the regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

The companies are – South Bangla Agriculture Bank, Union Insurance, BD Paints, Three Angle Marine, Master Feed Agrotech, BD Thai Food & Beverage, Oriza Agro Industries, Onic Trims, Krishibid Feed, Subra Systems, Acme Pesticide, Becca Garments & Textiles, JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing.

And the two smallcap platform companies are – Krishibid Seed and Nylco Alloys.

It is known that 12 companies want to withdraw money from the stock market through fixed price IPO.

In this regard, the stock market expert said, ‘Most of the weak companies want to collect capital from the stock market. The stock market has suffered a lot mainly due to the IPO approval of bad companies. This is because many good companies are reluctant to raise money through IPO from the stock.

Meanwhile, Executive Director and Spokesperson of BSEC Mohammad Rezaul Karim said, ‘Subject to the compliance of all laws and regulations, the IPO of the applied companies will be approved. We always welcome the listing of all companies large and small with fundamentals to deepen the stock market
