Mansur Pabna Correspondent :On Saturday, the Anti-Corruption Commission District Integrated Office and the District Corruption Prevention Committee Pabna organized an anti-corruption essay, drawing and debate competition at the Pabna Press Club VIP Auditorium with the slogan “Unity of youth against corruption, building the purity of the future” in front of the President of the District Corruption Prevention Committee Dr. Monowarul Ul Aziz. Acting Deputy Commissioner of Pabna Md. Jahangir Alam spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting and award distribution ceremony. He said that the youth should play a leading role in curbing corruption, the youth can play a leading role in corruption-free prevention. He also said that the youth are the lifeblood of the country, their active role can develop them as conscious citizens.
Md. Shahidul Islam Sarkar, Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Integrated District Office, inaugurated the inter-school debate competition organized for school students in Pabna to create awareness against corruption.
In the debate, Pabna Square High School and College team emerged as the champion and Government Girls High School as the runner-up. Square High School and College team leader Tajmira Siraj Sithi was elected the best debater. Among others, Pabna Corruption Prevention Committee General Secretary ABM Fazlur Rahman, Pabna Press Club General Secretary Zahurul Islam, Pabna Press Club Former General Secretary Utpal Mirza, among others, spoke at the event. Later, prizes were distributed among the winners of the competition.
The entire program was hosted and moderated by Dr. Md. Mansur Alam. The judges were SM Mahbub Alam, editor of the Daily Sinsa, SM Farid, associate professor of the Department of Chemistry at Government Edward College, poet Aziza Parvin and poet Jamil Hossain.More than a hundred contestants from 8 educational institutions in Pabna participated in various competitions. The program began with a collective recitation of the national anthem.
