Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the main stock market of the country, which has become unstable, has finally seen an upswing. Compared to the previous working day, the main index increased by 118 points. However, despite the increase in the index, the volume of transactions decreased on the same day.
According to sources, DSE’s main index ‘DSEX’ rose by 118.80 points on Tuesday (October 29). Currently the index stands at 5 thousand 17 points.
Besides, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ increased by 26.20 points to 1113 points and ‘DS-30’ index increased by 52.38 points to 1858 points.
Shares and units worth Tk 346 crore 58 lakh 64 thousand were traded in DSE today. 357 crore 24 lakh 71 thousand taka was traded on the previous working day.
A total of 394 shares and units of companies were exchanged in DSE that day. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 312 companies increased in price, while 57 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit prices of 25 companies remained unchanged.
