Al-Madina Pharmaceuticals Limited, a company listed on the SME platform of the stock market, has received an export order for medicines from Hejaz Limited, a company in Afghanistan. The company has already completed a shipment worth USD 70,960 to the Afghan company.
On Sunday (21 December), the pharmaceutical company disclosed this information through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the company, Al-Madina Pharmaceuticals received an export order worth USD 123,218 from Hejaz Limited. Following the order, the company had started production from 13 October to ship partial consignments.
In line with this, on 14 December, the company informed the DSE that it had supplied medicines worth USD 70,960 to Hejaz Limited at Chittagong port. For this export, the company has already received the full payment in advance via Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited, along with the export form (Expo Form).
Today, the company informed the DSE that the shipment worth USD 70,960 to the Afghan company has been completed, with Bill of Lading No. ALMDBNF25966.
The company also mentioned that it started export operations in 2024, and with this shipment, it has successfully received full payment.
As of 2023, the paid-up capital of the company listed on the stock market was Tk 204 million, with nearly 70% of shares held by entrepreneurs and directors.
Following the export completion announcement, the company’s share price rose by Tk 1 (about 4%) to Tk 28.50. Over the past year, the company’s share price has fluctuated between Tk 25.70 and Tk 49.50.
