Al-Arafah Islami Bank Kicks Off Leadership Skills Training

A 2-day training course on “Connect, Influence, Grow: Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Excellence” at Al-Arafah Islami Bank has begun at the Bank Training Institute. Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan inaugurated the training workshop as the chief guest on Monday, February 9, 2026. The training workshop was presided over by the Senior Executive Vice President & Principal of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute (AIBTI) Md. Abdur Rahim Duary.

In his address, Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan highlighted the importance of leadership qualities, effective communication, and interpersonal excellence in the banking sector. He urged participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the training in their professional roles to enhance customer service, team performance, and the Bank’s overall image.

The training featured Khondaker Zia Hasan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zia’s Language Center, Canada, as the resource person. Also present at the workshop were Senior Vice President Touhid Siddique, Senior Assistant Vice President S. M. Zulkar Nayen, and Assistant Vice President Md. Farhad Hossain.

A total of 31 managers, executives, and officers of the Bank are participating in the program. The two-day training focuses on leadership development, communication skills enhancement, interpersonal relationship building, and confidence and influence techniques, aimed at improving workplace performance and customer service.
