Airtel Launches ‘Airtel Gaming Arena’, Announces Strategic Partnership with PUBG MOBILE

Airtel, the youth-centric brand of Robi Axiata PLC, has officially launched a national esports tournament, ‘Airtel Gaming Arena’, designed to energize and unite Bangladesh’s rapidly growing esports community. Alongside this, Airtel announced a strategic partnership with PUBG MOBILE, the country’s most popular mobile game. The announcements were made today during a press conference at Robi’s corporate office in Dhaka.

Esports in Bangladesh has evolved beyond a casual pastime into a competitive arena for the youth. Recognizing this cultural shift, Airtel is stepping forward to actively support the gaming ecosystem. The Airtel Gaming Arena will serve as a formal national-level competitive platform, giving young gamers the opportunity to showcase their talent and compete at scale.

As part of the initiative, Airtel signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PUBG MOBILE, opening the door for Airtel users to enjoy exclusive collaborations, special events, and unique gaming experiences. The partnership marks an important milestone in strengthening Airtel’s presence in Bangladesh’s gaming landscape.

“Esports has become immensely popular among today’s youth. We are proud to take this initiative for them. With Airtel Gaming Arena and our partnership with PUBG MOBILE, we are not just launching a tournament — we are building a strong platform for Bangladesh’s next generation of esports champions,” said Shihab Ahmad, Chief Commercial Officer of Robi Axiata PLC.

The press meet also highlighted Airtel’s track record of supporting gaming and digital youth culture, underscoring the brand’s consistent commitment to gamers in Bangladesh. With these latest initiatives, Airtel aims to deepen its connection with young audiences and reinforce its position as the country’s leading network for gamers.

Also present at the event were Saurabh Prakash Khare, Head of Airtel Marketing; Tahasina Rafa, Associate Director, Brand & Communication; Zyma Thaseen, General Manager, Brand Strategy and ATL; Fattah Ahmed, General Manager, Esports & Gaming of Robi Axiata PLC.
