Agrani Bank PLC has expressed deep shock at the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. On 30 December 2025 (Tuesday), after the Zuhr prayer, a doa mahfil was held at the central mosque of Agrani Bank’s head office, seeking forgiveness for the departed soul.
The doa mahfil was attended by Agrani Bank’s Board of Directors Chairman Syed Abu Naser Bakhteyar Ahmed, Director Dr. Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Managing Director Md. Anwarul Islam, Deputy Managing Director Md. Abul Bashar, general managers, senior executives, and officers and employees of the bank.
On the occasion, brief speeches were delivered in memory of Begum Khaleda Zia by Chairman Syed Abu Naser Bakhteyar Ahmed and Managing Director Md. Anwarul Islam.
During the prayer gathering, deep sympathy was also expressed for the bereaved family, along with prayers for the eternal peace and forgiveness of Begum Khaleda Zia’s soul.
