Agrani Bank held a discussion meeting and dua mahfil on Sunday, September 6, 2026, marking the anniversary of the July Uprising and remembering those who sacrificed their lives.
The programme was organised by the Agrani Bank Employees Welfare Association at the bank’s central prayer hall at its head office around noon.
Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal chief coordinator Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, MP, attended the event as the chief guest.
Agrani Bank Chairman Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, acting Managing Director Parshuram Alam, Deputy Managing Director Md. Abul Bashar and Rubana Parvin, senior executives, and leaders and employees of different organisations were also present.
In his speech, Chief Guest Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas said everyone must fulfil their responsibilities from their respective positions for the welfare of the nation so that the sacrifices of the martyrs can achieve their true meaning.
Agrani Bank Chairman Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed prayed for the eternal peace of the souls of those who were martyred on July 24 and expressed sympathy to their families and those injured.
The programme concluded with a special munajat seeking forgiveness for the souls of the July martyrs and prayers for the recovery of those injured.
