The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has once again conducted a raid on the capital market regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to investigate allegations of various corruption and irregularities. This time, the raid was conducted in the Surveillance and Monitoring Department.
The raid began at 11:30 am today (March 10) at the BSEC office in the Securities Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka. A four-member team led by two assistant directors is conducting the raid.
It is learned that the ACC investigation team first met with BSEC Chairman Khandaker Rashed Maqsood. After that, they are conducting raids in various departments including the Surveillance and Monitoring Department of BSEC.
Earlier, the ACC conducted a raid on BSEC on March 2. The ACC also said that it will soon submit a full report on the irregularities found during the raid to the commission.
